Mr. Jamel Burroughs, LCSW-R, CEAP

Mr. Jamel Burroughs is the CEO/Founder of the Burroughs Psychotherapy Practice, LCSW, P.C. He is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. Mr. Burroughs holds a Masterís degree in Social Work from Columbia University, and is a graduate of The New School for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy & Psychoanalysis: Child & Adolescent Program.

He has additional training in aromatherapy and other creative therapies including music, art, and writing therapy. Within his fifteen years of experience, Mr. Burroughs has treated all of the disorders first diagnosed in infancy, childhood, and adolescenceóspecializing in a creative approach to psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

Ms. Carla Mims, LMSW

Ms. Mims holds a Masterís degree from Clark Atlanta University, and she is a New York State Licensed Master Social Worker. She has a decade of focused clinical experience in communication dynamics, issues related to problem solving and helping adults and couples treat a variety of relational issues. Ms. Mims also has extensive experience treating severely mentally ill clients in community settings.
